Rooms for rest

In case you are not feeling well and need a place to rest, there are rooms accessible to students and staff. The following guidelines apply:

• In the rooms, nothing but equipment/inventories that belong to the room may be stored, i.e. no personal belongings, no candles and no religious symbols may be placed in the room. If objects other than equipment/inventories are found in the rest room, these will be discarded or left in a box for found objects.
• All staff have access to the rest rooms and some rest rooms are open to students
• The rooms must only be used for temporary rest and must not be used for a longer period of time, e.g. for 24-hour rest.
• When using the room, the nearest manager or teacher must be notified. The person using the room is responsible for informing her/his manager or teacher.
• The nearest manager or teacher decides if monitoring is needed  and whether the medical service needs to be called in. The user of the room has the option of using the alarm in the room where the signal goes to the guard.
• Overnight stays are not permitted in the rooms.
• Rooms for rest may not be used as quiet rooms.
• If the room requires extra cleaning after use, this has to be communicated to the reception in the respective building.

Rooms for reflection and contemplation

Rooms for reflection and contemplation are non-bookable spaces within the University that provide opportunities for meditation, reflection or prayer. The rooms are open to students and staff of the University, regardless of faith or belief.
