Faculty Board and Faculty Management
The Faculty of Medicine is an organisational unit within Lund University. The faculty has ultimate responsibility for research and education in medicine, nursing and health sciences at Lund University.
Faculty Board
The Faculty Board is the faculty’s highest decision-making body. The board has overall responsibility for education, research, innovation and interaction with business and society at the Faculty of Medicine. The Faculty Board comprises representatives of academic staff, students and other staff, as well as external members.

Faculty Management
The Dean represents the faculty within and outside the University. The Dean has a deputy who is known as the Pro-Dean. The Dean is the chair of the Faculty Board and the Pro-Dean is the vice-chair. The Dean and Pro-Dean are elected by the faculty. The Dean appoints the other members of the faculty management. The management includes vice-deans with specific areas of responsibility.
