Printing and copying
The printing system used at the Faculty of Medicine is called PaperCut. Your printouts are placed in a central print queue and can be retrieved at any printer within the faculty connected to PaperCut. Printouts remain in the printing system for 36 hours. You must have a Lucat account to use the printers connected to PaperCut.
How to copy and scan
Install LUPrint on your computer
To be able to print and copy, you need to have LUPrint installed on your computer, which then works on all printers included in the printing system. LUPrint is a standard program in our LU-common computer platforms PC.LU.SE and MAC. LU.SE.
If your computer is not connected to these platforms or if you are connected via the region's network, contact ServiceDesk [at] lu [dot] se for assistance.

Log in with your Lucat on the printer to retrieve prints or scan documents
- Log in to the printer with your Lucat. For easier and faster handling, you can link your LU card or other access card to your Lucat account. You make the connection at the printer: Put the card on the card reader and log in with your Lucat. Only one card can be associated with the print service at a time. You will receive a confirmation that the card is linked and next time it is enough to put the card on the reader at the printer.
- Select the desired function via the touch screen. If you want to scan a document, you can choose to have the scanned document emailed to you or to save the documents to a USB flash drive (only applies to certain printer models).
- Don't forget to log out!
If you're having trouble logging in to the printer, you may need to change your Lucat password. It can take up to 20 minutes for the new password to become active.

Send attachments for printing by email
You can also send or forward email with attachments for printing to any printer. It is only the attachment that is printed, not the email itself. Depending on your preferred paper size, single or two-sided, and color or black/white printing, you must use different email addresses.
