Computer programmes and licenses

How to install computer programmes

This applies to programmes and licenses included in the university's campus agreement

For those of you with pc.lu.se: Programs are installed through the Software Center application portal on the Start menu. More instructions (pc.lu.se website)

For you with mac.lu.se: Applications are installed via Self-Service, which can be found under Applications. More instructions (mac.lu.se website)

Is any software missing? Send the request to ServiceDesk [at] lu [dot] se (ServiceDesk[at]lu[dot]se).

If you do not have a computer with the client platforms above, you need to download programmes via the university's central IT unit, Division of IT. Sign in with your Lucat ID.

Non-contractual software licenses

The faculty's IT department, Med IT, handles license management for most groups at the faculty. You can reach them via servicedesk [at] lu [dot] se (servicedesk[at]lu[dot]se). If a group instead wants to handle the license management themselves, they must appoint a programme manager who registers licenses with the Division of IT, manages license codes and ensures that the group complies with the license agreements.

Programmes purchased for use at Lund University may not be installed on Region Skåne's computers.
