A data management plan – what's in it for me as a researcher?
– A data management plan (DMP) facilitates a structured and secure data management. It is essentially a document which defines how your data being handled throughout the lifecycle of a project – that is, from its acquisition to archival, says Maria Johnsson project coordinator at Library & ICT supporting researchers and research groups in managing their data in a secure manner.
– A data management plan also helps you comply with funding mandates, meet ethical and other legal compliance requirements, Maria continues. Research funding bodies increasingly require grant-holders to develop and implement data management plans, for example The Swedish Research Council (VR) and EU projects.
Why should I sign up of this workshop?
– This one-hour workshop will introduce you to the concept of DMP, how it is used today, and different guidelines. Followed by hands-on exercises in getting started as well as useful tips on how to integrate a DMP in your daily research workflow – both before, during and after your research project.
Who should attend?
