Publications, projects, personal profile and the research group’s presentation page. Most of what you have in LUCRIS has been marked with icons that correspond to the 17 global goals. It is a new feature that could bring benefits.
As a researcher or doctoral student in medicine and health, how can I benefit from the tagging being correct?
– Tagging makes it easier for other researchers to find you and can lead to new collaborations. It has also become more common for financiers to request information about the sustainability perspective. Formas and Vinnova are already doing this, says Heiko Herwald, Vice Dean at the Faculty of Medicine with responsibility for sustainability, collaboration and ethics.
– Sustainability is also a research theme in its own right where we can increase the chances of funding. For example, Lund University has recently announced postdoc positions in sustainability.
Are there any benefits from a faculty point-of-view if we keep the tagging of our research correct?
– The markup can help us in recruitment and evaluations: in which fields are we strong and in which areas do we need additional expertise? In the larger perspective, we show that sustainability plays an important role for us. Visibility of the global goals can contribute to increased interest among both students and other researchers," says Heiko Herwald.
You can already log in to LUCRIS and see within which global goals your research is tagged.
The tagging will be visible to visitors to the Research Portal in early October 2023 (preliminary timetable).
