In order to be able to handle incoming booking requests in a uniform way, guidelines for the use of the premises on floor 16 have been established.

On floor 16 of BMC building E there is access to newly built representation rooms in the form of a seminar room with associated lounge and terrace. The intention with the construction of the premises was to create additional areas for representation within the BMC complex.

Booking requests for the new premises have already begun to flow in for the autumn semester 2023. Several of the housing requests did not meet the requirements for the premises to be used for representative purposes, and in several cases the bookings concerned more people than the premises are dimensioned for.

Temporary guidelines

  • The seminar room at BMC E16 can accommodate a maximum of 50 people in theater style or 40 people in classroom style because evacuation requirements and ventilation limit the number of people who can stay in the room.
  • The premises at BMC E16 will primarily be used for internal and external representation, such as for management, boards and committees.
  • Dissertations should be referred to the rooms Belfrage, Segerfalk and Fernström. Dissertations with fewer than 40 participants can also be booked in the meeting center, BMC E11.
  • Teaching and similar that concerns doctoral education should be directed to the Belfrage and Segerfalk rooms, to the meeting center or to the undergraduate education premises.
  • BMC E16 may be used for research seminars with invited external guests as long as the permitted number of people in the premises is not exceeded.
  • Booking requests that are not approved must be offered alternative premises that should, as far as possible, meet the booker's needs.
  • The basic furnishing in the seminar room at BMC E16 will be classroom seating.
  • Orders for refurnishing or replacement of furniture must be made via Med-service.
  • Only one event at a time should occur on BMC E16 so as not to risk the arrangements interfering with each other.
  • In accordance with the charge for use of the Belfrage conference room, each booking will be charged 1000 SEK.
  • Serving alcohol at BMC E16 must be ordered through catering companies that have their own serving licence. No privately bought alcohol may be brought in.
  • A period of one hour shall be reserved between each booking to allow emptying, cleaning and refurnishing of the premises.
