The Board of the Faculty of Medicine (MFS) has held a meeting.

The Dean informed about Lund University's ATMP Centre and the national coordination that is now taking place in the field. She also informed about an excellence programme for young researchers with a focus on Wallenberg Academy Fellows (WAF), as well as University platforms for research infrastructures and the ongoing analysis of research production as part of the University's ranking project.

The board was also given a presentation on the resource allocation work for 2024. A concrete proposal for the budget for 2024 was presented, ahead of the decision meeting on the budget in November, where measures to deal with the continued strained economic situation were presented.

During the meeting, further the board also discussed the work ahead to determine the future intentions that the Faculty should have regarding CCM (our animal department).

Decisions

The decisions at meeting concerned the Faculty of Medicine's crisis and contingency plan and a request for a position as senior lecturer in molecular skeletal biology.
