LU-employees can now use the AI assistant Bing Chat for free

Screen shot of Bing Chat.

Employees at Lund University can now use the generative AI tool Bing Chat through Office 365.

Bing Chat can be used, for example, to search for information, analyze data, create images, or improve text. Bing Chat uses Chat GPT-4 and has internet access.

To use Bing Chat, you need to have the Microsoft Edge browser installed. Open the browser and find the Bing Chat icon or type "Bing Chat" in the search field. You don't need to create an account; you are automatically logged in with your LUCAT credentials.

Your conversations are not saved in Bing Chat, so you need to copy everything you want to keep. Remember not to provide any personal information or copyrighted material when writing prompts to Bing Chat.
