Jildenstål in SVT: AI, AR, VR and smart glasses in healthcare

a

How can AI, VR and smart glasses help healthcare professionals? Researchers from Lund University, among others, are now investigating this topic in a new study.

The research project has a budget of SEK 45 million. The project is investigating whether patients who are to be operated on can use VR glasses in combination with local anesthesia instead of receiving sedatives or being sedated. It could reduce the use of drugs and simplify recovery for the patient.

Pether Jildenstål, research group leader at the Department of Health Sciences, develops this research area in Rapport, SVT (Swedish Television).
