How has the Nomination Committee reasoned about the future Dean and Deputy Dean?
"We’ve tried to find a couple that complement each other both in terms of experience and skills and our requirement profile for this election included different abilities in goal setting, change management and communication. That they have good knowledge of Lund University's and Region Skåne's organisation has also been important, as well as a genuine interest in developing our faculty".
How have you reasoned about the candidates for the Board of the Faculty (MFS)?
"Just as for the Dean couple, candidates must have a genuine interest in development but it’s also important that they’re able to work for the whole faculty and see that all assignments; teaching, research and collaboration are equally important".
Is the Nomination Committee happy with its proposal?
"We’re very pleased with all the candidates we’ve proposed. It’s been extremely rewarding to interview so many people who are committed to their work and have a genuine interest in contributing to the development of the faculty".
How has the Nomination Committee worked?
"First, we developed a requirement profile followed by the nomination process. Everyone on the nomination committee has then read all nominations and CVs to decide who should be interviewed. Interviews were then conducted with the with nominees for the Dean and Deputy Dean and nominated members of the Board. Finally, the Dean and the Deputy Dean were interviewed together".
