How does it feel?
"It feels great! It’s a great honour since the students themselves have nominated and selected the person they think has made an effort for them, during this semester".
What do you think makes you a good teacher?
"What I believe, and what I’ve also received feedback on from evaluations, is that I’m good at creating an open and allowing climate in the groups, with a lot of room for questions and reflections. I am convinced that makes for better learning better. I’ve had students who say that they’ve been afraid of problem based learning (PBL) before but after my course they’re not anymore, I’d say that’s proof it works".
This is how the Medical Education Council (MUR) justifies that Cecilia received the award:
"Committed to the students' learning, contributes to curiosity and a wonderful working climate. Professional during the PBL meetings with an understanding of individuals' different needs. She makes PBL fun again!"
Congratulations Cecilia!
