What is Jobbsprånget?

Jobbsprånget helps foreign-born academics get an internship, to increase their chances of getting a job in the Swedish labor market. For Lund University as an employer, this provides an opportunity to easily bring in highly skilled labour at no cost. The job leap is being commissioned by the Ministry of Enterprise and Innovation.

Who can become a supervisor?

There are interns in all occupational categories; researchers, technical/administrative staff, HR, finance and communication…

What is required of me?

To be able to accept an intern for free for four months, you need to do the following:

  • Undertake to be a supervisor/mentor and define what tasks you need help with (for this you also need your manager's consent).
  • Produce an internship ad and post the ad in Jobbsprånget's portal no later than July 9.
  • From 16 August, you can choose from the interns who have applied for an internship with you. You undertake to interview at least one person.
  • When you have found an intern and you have agreed, you register this in Jobbsprånget's portal (information can be found in the portal)

After a couple of weeks the intern can start working!
There are digital supervisor training sessions if desired.

What applies to the intern?

To be approved as an intern through Jobbsprånget, you must come from a country outside Europe, have a visa, have compensation from the Swedish Public Employment Service and be able to write and speak English (some also have some knowledge of Swedish).
The intern is insured through the Swedish Public Employment Service and receives their compensation from the Swedish Public Employment Service.
