A new introduction programme for all new employees

The introduction programme, available in Swedish and English, consists of online courses and an on-site welcome day.

All new employees at LU are now offered a common university-wide introduction programme via an onboarding module in Kompetensportalen. The aim of the programme is for all new employees to feel welcome at the University and gain a common overall understanding of Lund University as an organisation and what being a government employee entails.

Invitations are sent out automatically

As a new employee, neither you nor your manager need to register you for the introduction programme. When you activate your LU account*, you automatically receive an email that asks you to register for the introduction programme via the onboarding module in Kompetensportalen (Professional Development Portal).

Introduction to the workplace

In addition to the university-wide introduction programme, new employees receive an introduction to their workplace at the University. Your manager is responsible for this introduction.
